PUG2013 Introduced New Products, Brought Customers Together
The annual PureShare User Group (PUG) conference brings together PureShare customers, partners and staff for two days of education, discussion, product direction and camaraderie.
The seventh annual PUG featured an inspiring keynote presentation by our very own, Christopher Dean. He discussed how our JUST ANSWERS philosophy is fulfilled by enabling metrics in three steps: Unify => Browse => Present. We also heard from ITIL & ITSM expert Gary Case, who's presentation focused on the role of Measurement and Reporting and how IT should focus on the business goals.
The agenda also included product roadmap insights, hands-on tutorials, customer case studies and the PureShare Developer Summit. Attendee response to the event was enthusiastic, with 100% of attendees surveyed stating that the event either met or exceeded their goals.
Again this year, PUG was preceded by three days of PureShare classroom training, enabling PureShare customers to receive in-person hands-on ActiveMetrics fundamentals or advanced training with peers from other organizations, directly from PureShare's experts. In addition, a third new one day course was added this year - Metrics Catalog Training. This course was for business users and included how to work with dimensions, definitions, records offerings and groupings.
The PUG event is held annually at the end of February/beginning of March in Las Vegas.

The session occurs on the second day of PINKForum12 in Scottsdale, Arizona - Friday, August 17 at 10:20am.

- How can ITSM plan effectively and be sure that what services are implemented are resilient, secure and effective when planning and deployment windows are shortening?
- Is ITSM really becoming aligned or even integrated with the business, or are we just falling further and further behind?
They will also explore additional strategies needed to ensure that we enable our businesses to remain competitive.
